Ordering & Delivery

Can I order for same-day pickup or delivery?

Yes! Our Order Now menu is designed for same-day service. Most orders are ready within 30 minutes, and local delivery is available depending on your zip code.

Can I place an order for a future date?

Absolutely. Our Pre-Order menu lets you schedule pickup or delivery up to 60 days in advance. It's perfect for planning gifts, celebrations, or weekend treats ahead of time.

How far in advance should I place a large or custom order?

For large events like weddings, showers, or corporate gifting, we recommend ordering at least 5 business days in advance. For fully customized favors—including printed macarons, custom colors, or special packaging—please reach out via our Custom Orders page. We’ll confirm what’s possible based on your timeline and event needs.

Flavors & Customization

Can I request my own flavor?

Yes! We love working with new ideas. Custom flavors require a minimum of 6 macarons and can be requested through our custom-order page. We’ll confirm what's possible based on timing and ingredients.

Can I request an image or message to be printed on macarons?

Absolutely. We offer edible printing for names, short messages, and simple logos. Just upload your image or type your message when placing your custom order. Round designs work best!<

Can I customize the packaging?

Yes—for favors, we offer custom stickers, bows (with or without tags), and cards. Favor packs come in clear or minimal packaging and are fully customizable for events or gifting.

Larger macaron boxes (like 6, 12, or 24-piece sets) are packaged in *Wake Up Buttercup* branded boxes. These can be customized with printed macarons and message cards, but the outer packaging is not currently available for logo or private-label branding. We’re actively gathering feedback and may offer generic, brand-neutral boxes in the future.

Are your macarons gluten-free?

Yes! All of our macarons are made with premium nut flours and contain no gluten. However, they are prepared in a shared facility and are not certified gluten-free

Do you offer vegan or sugar-free macarons?

Not yet—but we’re working on both options! Follow us for updates as we test and refine new recipes.

I have a nut allergy. Can I still order macarons?

All of our macarons contain nuts (almond + others), but if you need a specific nut-free version—for example, a pistachio macaron without pistachios—we may be able to accommodate through custom-orders. Please contact us first to discuss options and safety.

How are your macarons made?

Every macaron is made by hand—from whipping to piping. We follow the traditional French method, which includes a drying period before baking to ensure the perfect shell. No machines, no shortcuts

Can you adjust the filling for outdoor events?

Yes! For warmer or outdoor settings where buttercream may not hold, we offer more temperature-stable fillings like ganache or fruit-based centers. Just let us know your event details when placing your custom order.

Can I request specific macaron colors with different flavors?

Yes, we can often customize the shell color to match your event or theme—even if it’s not traditionally paired with that flavor. That said, customizing the *flavor* insert separately from its natural color can be more challenging. For example, delivering a strong raspberry flavor without its signature pink hue takes some extra creativity. But if it matters to you, we’re happy to explore solutions—just let us know what you have in mind!

Macarons Storage

How long do macarons stay fresh?

Our macarons are made fresh daily and best enjoyed within 6 days when refrigerated. For longer storage, they can be frozen for up to 3 months although freezing changes shell texture a bit.

What’s the best way to store or freeze them?

Store macarons in their box, inside an airtight ziplock bag. For freezing, seal them gently (a vacuum sealer works great—just don’t squash the shells!). They can be enjoyed straight from the freezer for an ice cream-like bite or thawed overnight in the fridge before serving.

Do you freeze your macarons before sellling or shipping?

Never. All our macarons are baked fresh and delivered fresh. We don’t freeze our products unless you're freezing them at home.
